Membership eligibility
Who can join?
In general, membership is open to people who served at least one day of federal active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces from December 7, 1941 to the present and were honorably discharged—or who are still serving honorably.
Guard, Reserve, discharge-status, and other individual circumstances can require additional review. Post 945 will confirm eligibility before completing membership.
